A Legacy of Running Excellence through the Years

Johannesburg Athletics Club is a proud institution with a rich history spanning over a century. We have been the heartbeat of the running community, inspiring generations of runners and fostering a passion for the sport.

Johannesburg Harriers Athletics Club is a nonprofit organisation founded on the 27th January 1904 in Carlton Centre.

The aim was to give some recreation to the gold-hungry people. The 20 odd founders did not know they were giving birth to something that would transcend world wars and generations.
